Bio

My name is Paul, and I DJ under the name DJ PMAC. I’m an open-format DJ currently based in Kenya, with strong ties to New Hampshire, where I previously lived and performed. I was born and raised in Nairobi, where music, rhythm, and culture are part of everyday life—an influence that continues to shape how I approach DJing and how I connect with different crowds.

I began DJing while studying at Franklin Pierce University, playing house parties and dorm events. Those early experiences taught me that DJing is about more than just song selection—it’s about reading the room, understanding energy, and creating an atmosphere people can enjoy together. What started as a hobby has steadily grown into something I take seriously and continue to develop.

My style is open-format, and I focus on adapting my sets to the moment rather than relying on a fixed playlist. I play a wide range of music, including Afrobeats, EDM, hip-hop, house, Latin, dancehall, and throwbacks, blending genres in a way that fits the crowd, venue, and vibe. I’m comfortable adjusting my sound to suit different audiences—whether the goal is to keep things laid-back or gradually build energy throughout the night.

I enjoy experimenting with live transitions, mashups, and edits when the moment calls for it, while keeping the overall flow smooth and enjoyable. Whether I’m playing a day party, club night, beach event, or private function, I aim to be prepared, flexible, and respectful of both the event and the audience.

Recently, I played my first gig in Kenya at Ocean Sports in Watamu, a meaningful opportunity to perform in the country where I grew up. Now back in Kenya, I’m excited to continue building my presence, connecting with new audiences, and growing as an artist.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to create a good atmosphere and help people enjoy the moment through music.
